Superb 19th century cast iron statue of Diana of Gabies after the antique. Beautiful patina of time. Good condition. Deval d'Osne foundry (a photo from the period catalog). Diana of Gabies probably represents the goddess Artemis, who is traditionally associated with the sculptor Praxiteles. After being part of the Borghese collection, it is kept at the Louvre Museum.
