    This bench bears the mark of the English foundry Coalbrookdale and is numbered.
    The English foundry Coalbrookdale has been renowned since the early 18th century for its quality cast iron.
    Initially linked to the country's industrial development, the foundry carried out numerous engineering projects (such as bridges), before developing production of art and decorative objects in the 19th century.
    Coalbrookdale presented numerous works at international exhibitions, including monumental garden doors for Kengsigton Gardens in 1862.
