White Carrara marble mantel in the Louis XVI style, late 19th century. Sheath-shaped jambs with filleted flutes and rosettes at the top. The lintel is adorned with a daisy in the center and scrolled moldings on either side. The top is very thick.
Note restoration on the molding at the top of the hearth and on a corner next to the left rosette (see photos), missing the return of the molding on the sides at the top.
