Description :
Gilded chased bronze, mirror, wood, cut crystal. These unusual sconces are inspired by silver models made for Louis XIV, then melted down for the needs of Monsieur Mars.
This pair of beautiful sconces is made up of a fretted frame with scrolls, the heads of fauns in profile hold foliage between their teeth, the pediment is characterized by a shell and a second detached halo giving an impression of depth.
Bouquets of flowers and ribbons adorn the whole, the arms of light and the binets are completely in the model of the Régence luminaries.
Very beautiful crystal bobèches with scalloped edges adorn the binets.
State :
Excellent condition, beautiful luminous gilding with a nice aged patina. There are a few stains in the stain of the mirror which are not a defect for this type of wall lamp.
