This exceptional pair of six-light sconces features a winged Victory in an acanthus sheath, her hair adorned with stars and carrying two torches.
By its exceptional quality and the uniqueness of this model we could attribute it to Claude Galle (1759, 1815).
The four arms support deeply carved binnacles with foliage and a rhombus frieze.
At the bottom, a bulb of acanthus leaves encircled by flowers in volutes extends the sheath.
The rich chasing is embellished with bright, amatized ground gold.
