Bronze sculpture with medal patina representing Silenus, satyr adoptive father of the god Dionysus, based on the work discovered in Pompeii and preserved at the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
On a square section base in black marble, decorated with ram's heads, laurel wreath and frieze of lotus leaves in gilded bronze.
Nineteenth century.
Good condition (small accidents and restorations).
Mounted as a lamp / Pleated silk lampshade sold separately (quote on request).
Height of Silenus alone: 22 cm.
