Pair of Chinese porcelain oil lamps from Canton, depicting numerous figures (dignitaries and women), richly decorated with colorful flowers, fruits, stylized friezes and butterflies, gilt bronze mounts, Saint-Louis crystal ball with gilded Japanese dragon decoration, 19th century.
These lamps are in good condition and very decorative. The system works. They have their glassware. The balls are not signed but are of Saint-Louis quality.
Please note: some wear and enameling defects on the porcelain (missing decoration on the faces, cf. red arrows), wear to the gilding on the animal heads forming grips, some wear to the gilding on the balls (notably on the clouds), micro-scratches on the crystal, the gilding on the bronze is worn in places, age wear, see photos.
