    Pair of Louis XVI Style Bronze Candlesticks Converted into Lamps, Circa 1820

     

    This pair of bronze candlesticks, finely chiseled with a beautiful matte and shiny gilding, embodies the elegance and refinement of the Louis XVI style. They feature a lovely decor of fluting adorned with a laurel torus on the shafts, while the circular base with setbacks is chiseled with acanthus leaves.

     

    French craftsmanship from the early 19th century, circa 1820, these candlesticks have been converted into lamps and are fitted with beautiful new silk lampshades in blue with a gold interior. The electrical wiring complies with European standards, with the option to adapt to American standards upon request.
