Description :
Chiselled and gilt bronze, porcelain
This beautiful pair of lamps is in the spirit of the objects mounted under Louis XVI.
The classic four-box base is decorated with an openwork guilloche (or braid).
Two thin handles bearing a mascaron end in handles.
The bulb vase is a deep oven blue or Cobalt.
The carving work is of good quality.
The often bold variety of regulator lamp shapes is well imaged in this pair.
State :
Perfect condition, intact porcelain, beautiful gilding, new electrification with a pair of very worked ribbed lampshades and of the best quality (lining,
solid frame, finishes.)
Their fabric color is more "fresh butter" than in the photos, slightly overexposed to show the luminosity of the oven blue.
Note the bronze finials that top the lampshades recalling the high decorative fixing of the first sheet metal lampshades.
Dimensions:
height without lampshade: 53 cm, with lampshade, 82 cm, base diameter: 18 cm, large width: 27 cm.
