Large spelter lamp, signed by the artist A. Foretay, depicting a pirate on a rock in a waiting position, ready to attack. The sculpture, dating from the early 20th century, is richly detailed, capturing the essence of the character with precision. The pirate holds a lit lantern in his right hand, emitting a warm light through colored stained glass. The clothing and accessories typical of the period, including an axe hanging from his belt, add a touch of authenticity and realism to this work. The base of the sculpture imitates a rock, reinforcing the impression of movement and vigilance of the pirate. A decorative addition to any interior, this print will appeal to collectors and lovers of unusual objects
