    A pair of French Directoire period candlesticks converted as table lamps in chiseled and gilt bronze circa 1795

     

    A decorative pair of chiseled bronze candlesticks in their original gilding. The shafts are in the form of flared columns with cut sides, surmounted by Greek friezes, ending in claw feet and resting on circular bases decorated with water-leaf friezes.

     

    Elegant French Greek Directoire period work circa 1795-1799.

     

    Sizes without lampshades: H 7.67 Inches. - D 3.93 Inches.

    Sizes with lampshades: H 14.96 Inches. - Diameter lamp shade 7.87 Inches.

     

    In good condition, our candlesticks have a nice golden patina. Small accident on a bobeche.

    They have been converted as lamps and receive very nice new shades in white color silk with gold interiors.

    The candlesticks are professionally wired for electricity for Europe and the USA on request.

     

    We manufacture custom-made lampshades in pleated silk.
