Floor lamp in gilded bronze. Openwork central shaft composed of 3 vertical, straight, stylized bamboo canes. The lower part features a triangular base with a concave edge ending in doucine feet. The upper part features a cup decorated with two grooved friezes, onto which the socket is grafted.
Made in France in the 1970s.
Baguès is a lighting company founded in 1840 by Noël Baguès, who initially specialized in the manufacture of liturgical bronzes. With the spread of electricity to homes, Baguès began making lighting bronzes in the 1860s. Baguès chandeliers were exported all over the world, making the Baguès brand a benchmark in the lighting sector, thanks in particular to its craftsmanship. The materials are crafted using traditional techniques, as are the settings, gilding and patinas, which have earned Baguès the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, bearing witness to the company's historic know-how and the way it is passed on.
