<meta charset="UTF-8" />Pair of quiver candlesticks, barrel with sides, the socket in a gadrooned vase. Mercury-gilded bronze in matte and shiny, Empire period, early 19th century around 1806-1808.

Our pair of candlesticks is a variation of a model created by Ravrio around 1808 and supplied in several copies to the Imperial furniture for the Château de Fontainebleau. Some differences in the moldings of the terrace, but the identical line and the quality of the finishes allow them to be attributed to Ravrio.

André Antoine Ravrio (1759-1814) is with Thomire and Claude Galle one of the greatest bronze makers of the Empire, supplier to the Emperor Napoleon I.

A quality model, very elegant, they are composed of 8 independent pieces (the more there are, the higher the quality), gilded with fine gold (mercury gilding). Beautiful sober and finely chiseled decoration. They are in very good condition, no lack, no deformation, gilding still present but slightly faded.
