SÉBASTIEN-ANTOINE SLODTZ (1695-1754): best known as a draughtsman, he was instrumental in the development of the Rocaille style at the French court, thanks to his role in the Menus Plaisirs and his official position as draughtsman of the king's chamber and cabinet, which he received on the death of Meissonnier.
