Pair of Louis XV silvered bronze candlesticks, entirely and finely chased, with rocaille decoration of three cherubs or putti supporting the binet, twisted and foliated shaft adorned with stylized shells, on a wide contoured base with acanthus leaf friezes, model after the famous 19th century bronzier Meissonnier*.
These candlesticks are in good condition and of exceptional quality. A similar pair is in the Wallace Collection, London.
Please note: slight silvering in places, age-related wear, see photos.
