Pair of large ormolu candlesticks or torches in the Louis XVI style, richly patterned with grooved flutes, rows of pearls, gadroons and acanthus leaves. Our torches are a re-edition of an 18th-century model made around 1850 under Napoleon III. Very fine matte and bright gold gilding.

They are made up of 3 independent parts, all in bronze gilded with fine gold in matt and bright (bronze only, no brass parts). A fine collector's item, ideal for a Louis XVI XVIIIth or Napoleon III decor. Spectacular for the quality of their decoration, gilding and very large size.

Very good condition, with superb gilding (refinished in the 19th century).
