Pair of cassolette candelabra with inverted candlesticks in marble and gilt bronze. Old Louis XVI style work from the 19th century.

Beautiful model with masks of beliers, wreaths of flowers and hind legs. Beautifully chased bronzes and matte and glossy mercury gilding.

These cassolettes are a beautiful and useful decorative object. Depending on the direction in which the lid is placed, they can be used as decorative mantelpieces or on furniture, or as a pair of candleholders the other way round. Removable light arms can also be used as candelabras.

Our cassolette candlesticks are in excellent condition, with no marble damage and remarkably well-preserved gilding.
A broken arm has been repaired on one of the candelabra, and a candle-holder rose is attached to the branch of a knob. This small accident is unobtrusive and totally invisible; they are used as candelabras, but also as candleholders or cassolettes without the removable arms.
