Pair of Candelabras in chased and gilded bronzes and white Carrara marble with two arms of light, known as "child gardeners" forming a pendant.
The sensemble is composed of two children in 18th-century garb, a young girl and a young boy, holding in their arms a chased and gilded fluted bronze basket, from which two leafy, flowering stems form the lights, with binnets and stem decorations with removable buds in the center. Rich plant decor.
They stand on round Carrara marble pedestals fluted with truncated columns and moldings, and on handsome square scraper bases embellished with stylized foliage spandrels at the corners.
Fine craftsmanship and chasing. Beautiful, classic and highly decorative subjects.
