Pair of torchères in black earthenware with gilded highlights and decoration in the Restoration style. Tripartite base in the form of lion paws and gilded bronze acanthus leaves covering the corners. Each side of the triangular base is decorated with a large palmette whose base is terminated by two volutes. A gilded bronze frieze decorated with water leaves separates the base of the column, which is pedestal-shaped and supports a dish whose base ends with three stylized scrolls in black earthenware decorated with red highlights. The column shaft is adorned with a gilded bronze sheath with two rows of water leaves, stopping halfway up the column. Above, a gilded foliage motif and three gilded bands adorn the shaft. At the top of the torchères is a cup with a bronze leaf decoration at the base.
Work dating from 1950.
