Exceptional Pair of Bronze Candelabra with Double Patina, Brown and Golden. They Possess Six Lights.
Finely Chiseled Bronze Candelabra. Decorated with Puttis, Birds, Branches and Leaves.
They are Signed Below the Famous and Prestigious Bronzer and Gilder, Henri Picard.
Henri Picard, gilder and bronzer, settled in Paris from 1831 to 1839, Rue Jarente and from 1840 to 1864, Rue de la Perle. He received a commission from Napoleon III to create the gilding that adorns his apartments at the Palais du Louvre.
Art and furniture bronzer, he creates very diverse objects and pieces, in very high quality carving in gilded bronze such as centerpieces, candelabras, wall lights and fireplace trims. He gained his reputation and became a supplier to the entire bourgeoisie of the time.
