    These vermeil earrings are mounted with a chrysoprase cabochon, framed on either side by a half pearl and topped with a small knot decorated in the center with a pearl. The rich decoration consisting of a fleuron, arabesques and a fleurette, has retained here and there traces of red enameling.
    The name Chrysoprase which comes to us from the Greek means golden leek. Appreciated since Antiquity, it is adorned with many virtues, legend has it that Alexander the Great always wore one on his belt during his battles to ensure victory. In the Middle Ages it was thought that it could make one invisible or that it could detect poison.
    Feminine and elegant, these earrings, with stones the color of hope, will be wonderful jewelry to wear in all circumstances.
    The swan necks have been replaced.
