These exceptional earrings feature two articulated gold elements. They are richly decorated with high-relief florets and chased foliate motifs. The rim is bordered by a small sinuous molding and half-flowers. They are stamped with a ram's head hallmark, in use from 1819 to 1839, and are typical of the 1830s. The screw fastening system, adorned with a flowerette, is made of silver and does not require pierced ears.
These large pieces measure 6.6 cm and weigh 11.2 grams.
