Elegant fine Douai earthenware coffee pot, very late 18th century, the white earthenware decorated with a black and white checkerboard frieze on the neck, repeated at the top of the lid; the handle made of two delicate intertwined ribbons, the fretel of the lid featuring an artichoke.
Total height 24.5cm
Beautiful condition for its 200+ years. Note: a small chip at the base, a crack in one of the ribbons forming the grip, a chip on the ribbon in question, an old repair at the base of the fretel, unless it's a firing defect.
All these minor defects are visible in the photos and mentioned for the sake of transparency, but they in no way detract from the delicate elegance of this model.
Available for collection in Montpellier, Marseille, Avignon and surrounding areas, and can be shipped in very careful packaging.
