Large cup with umbilicus, it rests on a small heel and presents a rich decoration of Chinese style. In England, around 1650, the decoration of the earthenware called "Chinese style of transition" made its appearance, it consisted of characters squatting in a floating world of islands, rocks and trees; from 1670, this type of decoration is perfectly mastered, the most beautiful are certainly produced by Dutch artists arrived in England following the potter Jan Ariens van Hamme who obtained in 1676 a privilege to manufacture tiles for wall coverings in London.
