Berthe Savigny (Quimper 1882 -Pont-Aven 1958) comes from a family of artists, father and mother painters, her brother Pierre de Belay is probably the best-known artist in the family. The latter rubbed shoulders with everyone in the artistic world of the time, working regularly in Pont-Aven.
