Earthenware cooler from Cerreto Sannita (Naples region). Late 17th century. Polychrome decoration in shades of green, blue and yellow. Two medallions represent dancing figures. The two handles are in the shape of fruits and foliage. The traditional colours of the 17th and 18th centuries are yellow, green, blue and Cerreto orange. Dated 1696 and signed I.R.F for the earthenware maker (faenzaro). Note some chips.
