This rare and beautiful pair of plates is called "au funambule". They date from the very early 19th century. Each plate is decorated with a polychrome border and in the center, a tightrope walker walking on a rope stretched between two trestles. The wing is decorated with three large lines, yellow and blue, surrounded by black nets. In excellent condition, one or two tiny chips are to be noted. Nevers beginning of the XIXth century. Diameter: 22,7 cm.
