Pair of gourd vases in Delft earthenware. Late 18th century. Baluster-shaped, they feature an octagonal base, a swollen body and a long octagonal neck with a narrowed, flared bulb. The blue monochrome decoration on a white enamel background is of oriental inspiration, combining various flowers, foliage, poly-lobed reserves, interlacing and water leaves. Note a few chips and a restored chip.
