Very attractive Japanese bronze planter, circa 1900, probably Meiji style.
A beautiful decorative piece in bronze with a warm brown patina.
Slightly flared neck and a rim decorated with a raised geometric pattern.

The body of the planter is divided into several finely carved panels depicting natural scenes:

Flowering branches, possibly cherry trees or magnolias, symbols of ephemeral beauty and renewal in Japan.
