This Delft earthenware vase, with a smooth and shiny white background, with blue patterns of different shades from light to dark, is characterized by its fleshy ribbed body. It is topped by a Fao dog lid, covered with flowers, surrounded by wavy friezes. The top of the body, squared and with natural motifs, leads to an abundant plant decoration, consisting of flowers, fruits and dragonflies, which frames two scenes in which we see pagodas, a water court and birds on the horizon.
It ends on a slightly flared foot with the same motifs as the top of the body.
The Delft earthenware, originating from Dutch factories since the seventeenth century, is characterized by its glazing and the fineness of its decorations, qualities that this vase can boast.
