Watercolor by Woods Prior (1914-1988)
Ebenezer John Woods Prior was a landscape painter born in Bradford, known as Jack Prior. He was largely self-taught with some help from Ernest William Haslehurst, and worked in the family woollen business until it closed in 1971. He then turned to painting full-time. Noted for his paintings of the Yorkshire Dales, he exhibited at the RA, RBA, Royal Cambrian Academy, and throughout Yorkshire.
