Two superb 1970s lithographs by Urbain HUCHET featuring views of Paris; one depicting the quays of the Seine at Pont Neuf level and the other depicting the Place de Saint-Germain des Prés.
HUCHET (Urbain), French painter and engraver, born in Rennes on April 28, 1930. From 1960 onwards, he devoted himself entirely to painting. In love with Brittany and Paris, he never stopped traveling the world and painting wherever he went. From 1961 to 2000, he took part in over thirty major exhibitions, notably in New York, Sao Polo, Paris, Washington, Tokyo, Pont-Aven, etc. But it was in Paris that he produced the greatest number of works, including some three hundred editions of lithographs he created himself on presses in various workshops.
