    Louis Étienne Watelet(1780-1866)   He was a prolific painter who travelledwidely to work en plein air ; visiting the south of France, Savoy,Italy (which had a significant effect on his work), Belgium and theTyrol. He strove to give his landscapes a historical feeling, inthe Romantic style.

    Godefroy Engelmann (August 17, 1788 –April 25, 1839) was a 19th-century Franco-German lithographer andchromolithographer.
    Engelmann is largely credited with bringinglithography to France, and later, commercializing chromolithography.In 1837 he was granted an English patent for a process ofchromolithography that provided consistently high-qualityresults.
    Throughout his life, he produced large numbers of prints,including numerous plates for Baron Isidore Justin Séverin Taylor'sfamoue collection of lithographs, "Voyages pittoresques etromantiques dans l’ancienne France".
