Biography:
JonOne,
John Andrew Perello (born in 1963)
Born in the Harlem neighborhood of New York to a Dominican family, JonOne began his graffiti work as a teenager.
Self-taught and in search of freedom, he gradually developed a full-fledged artistic practice that led him to become, in the 1980s, a true figure of street art in his hometown, alongside artists such as the iconic Jean Michel Basquiat, Dondi White, and Anthony Clark, known as Aone.
He then moved from urban media to canvas, a medium on which he has been exhibited worldwide.
In 2015, the artist decorated the entire exterior of an Air France Boeing 777. He continues to live and work between New York and Paris.
Many collectors and museums own his works.
