Louis-Émile Lassalle, (bornNovember 6, 1811 in Bordeaux and died February 2, 1871 in Paris 9th),was a French painter and lithographer. Louis-Émile is the son ofPierre Lassalle and Jeanne Beaugrand, husband of Marie-LouiseLamarque, (1811-1874)3. A pupil of
Pierre Lacour,Émile Lassalle frequently exhibited at the
Salon,between 1834 and 1869, lithographs of reproductions of genre scenes,portraits and master paintings. In 1845, he made lithographs afterdrawings by Ernest Goupil for the publication of
Voyage au pôlesud et dans l'Océanie on the corvettes l'Astrobale and la Zélée,executed by order of the king during the years 1837 -1838-1839-1840by Jules Dumont d'Urville.
He obtained a third class medalin 1847 then a first class medal in 1848, followed by recalls in1857, 1859 and 1861. In 1851, he was for some time editor at 38 ruede la Tour d'Auvergne in Paris.
