Alexis Noel (1792-1871)
A historical painter of landscapes and lithographer, a student of his father Alexandre Noel and Louis David, he made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1808 and continued to appear there until 1850. Alexis became known above all as a lithographer and published: Voyage pittoresque et militaire en France et en Allemagne, Souvenir de Tourraine, Souvenir du Poitou et de l'Anjou, Panorama de Paris and a series of illustrations for the Voyage de Dumont d'Urville.
