About Ohno Bakufu:
Ohno Bakufu (大野麦風, 1888-1976) was a Japanese painter and printmaker working in the Shin-hanga style. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he created over seventy works during his lifetime. His most famous collection is the Great Japanese Fish Collection (大日本魚類画集). Although this is his best-known work, he also produced many landscapes and a few still lifes. After the Great Kantō earthquake of 1923, he moved to the Kansai region. He was an honorary member of the Hyogo Prefectural Academy of Fine Arts and a member of Taiheiyogakai.
