Henri-Frédéric Schopin born June 12, 1804 in Lübeck (Holy Roman Empire) and died October 21, 1880 in Montigny-sur-Loing is a French painter.
Born in Germany to French parents, Henri-Frédéric Schopin is the son of the sculptor Jean-Louis-Théodore Chopin and the brother of the polygraph Jean-Marie Chopin.
He was a student of Antoine-Jean Gros. He won the Prix de Rome in painting in 1831 for Achilles pursued by the Xanthe. He made his debut at the Salon of 1835 with four works: The Last Moments of the Cenci (Museum of the Chartreuse of Douai), Charles IX signing the act of Saint Bartholomew's Day, A fountain in Albano and A young girl and her goat.
