Augustin d'Herbez dit "Saint-Aubin" was a tenor and member of the Académie royale de musique.
Louis Philibert Augustin d'Herbez Saint-Aubin married Jeanne Charlotte Schroeder, herself a singer at the Opéra who would become very famous under her husband's name. Augustin Saint-Aubin made his debut in Lyon as an actor, and in Paris from 1785 (the role of Atys and Pylade in Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride). A member of the Opéra-comique on rue Favart, he remained there until 1801.
