Opalescent molded-pressed glass vase with fish design, signed R. Lalique* France, model n°1043 Piriac, 20th century.
This vase is in good condition and of high quality. It is very decorative. Signed on the bottom.
Piriac model created on August 18, 1930. Appears in the 1932 catalog and on the 1937 price list, not continued after 1947. Bibliography: Félix Marcilhac, R. Lalique - Catalogue raisonné de l'oeuvre de verre, Les Éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 1994.

* René Jules Lalique (1860-1945)
was a French master glassmaker and jeweler, founder of the Maison Lalique. He became famous for his astonishing creations of jewelry, then perfume bottles, vases, candlesticks, clocks and, at the end of his life, car cabochons. The company he founded is still going strong, creating many of the quality pieces for which it is renowned worldwide. The Lalique name has remained associated with creativity and quality, as he always knew how to design sumptuous yet discreet objects.
