Baccarat crystal perfume bottle cut in green overlay. By overlay, we mean a white crystal structure covered with colored crystal which, once cut, reveals the white by transparency.
Our bottle belongs to Baccarat's Empire Toilet Garniture service, pictured in the 1916 Toiletries catalog. This very fine decoration is obtained by acid etching and then hand-cut. The entire bottle is covered in green crystal, then 80% cut to reveal only the green band. This is a very important piece of work.
Produced in the late 19th or early 20th century, it does not bear the crystal maker's signature.
Rare model, rare piece in very good condition (small chips on the lower part of the stopper).
