Large cobalt-blue Baccarat crystal vase from the Napoleon III period, mid-19th century circa 1850 - 1860, model of a molded vase with ivy garland enhanced with fine gold.

The vase represented in La collection des dessins représentant exactement les cristaux compris dans le Tarif général de la Compagnie des verreries et cristalleries de Baccarat (1865). A smaller format than ours is photographed in its green opaline version in Christine Vincendeau's book Les opalines.

Spectacular format, very decorative, in very good condition. No damage, some local gilding wear on the edges and collar, but still very fresh and attractive.
