Fine Baccarat crystal wine decanter, late 19th century circa 1890 or 1900.

Balloon-shaped, our decanter is a very rare collector's item in red crystal with a finely cut and engraved decoration of vine leaves and branches.

An early production, dating from before 1936, it does not bear the crystal maker's signature. The shape is listed in the 1907 tableware catalog.

A rare piece in very good condition. The technical supremacy of Baccarat over all its competitors at the time can be measured by the perfection of these models (made entirely by hand!). A fine collector's item, bearing witness to the refined lifestyle of high society during the Belle Epoque.

No chips or scratches. The crystal is crystal-clear; the stopper (also from Baccarat) has been added, but fits the model well.

Height: 27.5cm (22cm without stopper)
