Strasbourg, early 18th century Important Alsatian armoire entirely in blond walnut, with all its bases and shelves in oak.
Built in four parts, it rests on a strongly curved base with five ball feet with claws.
The case, in two pieces of furniture joined at the center by two wooden keys, is topped by a rich cornice with a double gendarme hat.
It opens through two arched doors with three raised panels and fine hardware, a rich cremone bolt decorated with a dolphin and a fine period lock.
In the upper crosspiece, a Marquis's crown and flowers in high relief in the corners... A truly beautiful piece of 18th-century cabinetwork in very natural blond walnut, very well preserved without a trace of pitting.
