This bookcase in solid cherry wood opens with two glass doors with mitered frames in front and shoulder in back (19th century work). In the lower part, each door is darkened by a panel on about a third of its height. A grooved molding underlines the glazed and panelled parts. The two doors are closed with a molded joint cover and are equipped with wooden entrances with original functional lock and key.
The interior is lined with four thick shelves, sound and without deformation, adjustable at will since they are placed on cleats and racks.
This bookcase is topped by a slightly protruding cornice with doucine.
The sides of this piece of furniture are composed of two panels with pegged crosspieces at the top, middle and bottom.
The front uprights, with cut sides, rest on a plinth that ends with scrolled feet.
The back of the furniture is in chestnut.
This bookcase will please you, among other things, for its sobriety and the brightness of its patina.
