Beautiful 18th-century walnut armoire from Lyon, Régence period, opening with 2 double crossbow doors, each with 3 panels, large crossbar with large shell, gendarme cornice, fixed central frame also with shells, inverted cornice base, 5-panel sides, interior with 3 drawers for storage, original lock and closure with large revolving barrel key. This beautifully crafted armoire was often found in the homes of silk merchants, showing their social standing.
