Magnificent pedestal table in mahogany and gilt bronze attributed to Thomire et Cie, from the beginning of the 19th century.
Emblematic model of Pierre-Philippe Thomire, the tripod pedestal table with leonine shanks created by the Master at the end of the Empire period, knew several variants. If the most prestigious ones were entirely made of gilded and patinated bronze, there are a few more sober pedestal tables, like this one, where the baluster shaft and the shanks are made of mahogany, connected in their center by gilded bronze supports chiseled with acanthus leaves.
The claw feet are also in gilt bronze.
Black marble with original bowl.
Very good quality of execution, work of the first third of the 19th century, around 1820.
Restorations of use, very good condition.
Attributed to the house of Thomire and Co.
