Pair of chiseled and gilded bronze living room pedestal tables. Tripod-shaped, the uprights are double columns joined by a pine cone clover spacer, the feet in double deer hooves. The solid mahogany structure supports a white veined red marble set in a gallery. Louis XVI style after an 18th century model by Adam Weisweiler, work from the end of the 19th century or around 1900 attributed to Maison Jansen.

Maison Jansen was founded in 1880 with an activity similar to that of the 18th century merchants-mercers, so as to provide a wide range of decorative arts for large decoration projects. This great decorator has supplied royal and national palaces throughout the world since its inception and throughout the 20th century, promoting French taste.

Beautiful set of large decoration, rare in pairs and ideal for completing a neoclassical decor from the 18th or 19th century. Beautiful quality of manufacture, the bronzes finely chiseled with golden patina, the belt is in solid mahogany and not in mahogany veneer.

Very good general condition; the two marbles are intact, the two pieces of furniture cleaned by our cabinetmaker.
