Circular mahogany and blackened mahogany refreshment stand, Empire period circa 1810

 

An interesting and decorative refreshment stand in mahogany, mahogany veneer and black lacquered mahogany. The black-lacquered mahogany and gold leaf gilding upper part of the refreshment stand holds two small zinc tubs, resting on straight uprights linked by a black-lacquered natural wood shelf, terminating in stylized claw feet.

 

Elegant French work from the Empire period, circa 1810.
