Beautiful Napoleon III table in blackened pearwood with brass inlays. This piece of furniture opens with a drawer whose crossbow-shaped front is embellished with two recessed brass fillets. Scalloped and chased bronze baguettes run around the edge. The same ornamentation is found on the sides and back. The corners of the movement belt are embellished with geometric flower falls. The mahogany drawer opens with a finely chased bronze knob.
This small all-sided sideboard has four turned legs holding two intermediate shelves. These are inlaid with wide and fine brass fillet. They are also encircled by a chased baguette.
The top of this piece is remarkable for its central composition representing a cartouche surrounded by scrolls, foliage and flowers. Around it, imitating frames, inlaid brass fillets of different thicknesses. A scalloped chased bronze baguette follows the shape of the top.
